On the ice-skating court an eleven-year-old boy is practicing hockey. In order to not be discovered by the bullies he tries to make himself as invisible as possible. Nevertheless the older hockey players find out he’s there. At his weakest, and with great force he catches enough courage to stand up for himself.
HOCKEY was shot during one snowing afternoon on the ice-court in the city of Drammen, Norway. A small cast and crew was assembled to make this micro short, which was set to have duration of maximum 60 second. To make this possible we wanted to try something new and shoot the film on an iPhone. In order to still keep the cinematic look we attached an anamorphic lens from Moondog Labs and made all manual settings available with the FilmicPro app. Viken Filmsenter and Drammen Kommune – Culture, funded the film. Promotion is supported by Arts Council Norway.
